A man named Seligman finds a fainted wounded woman in an alley and he brings her home. She tells him that her name is Joe and that she is nymphomaniac. Joe tells her life and sexual experiences with hundreds of men since she was a young teenager while Seligman tells about his hobbies, such as fly fishing, reading about Fibonacci numbers or listening to organ music.Written by

When this film came out, it was swathed in controversy. Being a fan of controversial films, I was excited to finally see it. What excitement that had once filled me was replaced with boredom and disappointment. I can not see where the controversy comes from. There are plenty of mainstream movies that show actual penetrative sex without using prosthetics of digital effects. More than that, I found neither the story nor the characters compelling. I really wanted to like this film, I just couldn't. So if you are someone watching this for the sex, skip it. If you are someone that wants to watch this for the characters and story, same prognosis, skip it.
