Jordan Turner (Halle Berry) is an experienced 911 operator but when she makes an error in judgment and a call ends badly, Jordan is rattled and unsure if she can continue, but then teenager Casey Welson (Abigail Breslin) is abducted and calls 911. Jordan is the one called upon to use all of her experience, insights and quick thinking to try to help Casey escape and also to make sure the man is brought to justice.
There are 188 million 911 calls a year. This one made it personal.

Did You Know?
Somewhere around 1:06:38, Halle Berry's character is replaying the conversation with the victim. At some point the camera points towards the screen revealing that the duration of the call was only 22 minutes and 15 seconds, this is obviously a mistake considering they have actually been on the phone for an hour or so (The screen also says "CD-02" which could very well mean the archive only records calls in 1 hour segments and the first segment was an hour, but that is not confirmed).
