Professor Gellar says that the Devil has tempted people with an apple. The Bible doesn't say the fruit of the tree of knowledge is an apple, or any other specific fruit. Someone who is supposed to know the Bible well wouldn't make that mistake.

Dexter Morgan: [narrating, in doughnut shop] Kids trust everybody.

Francisco: [offering a doughnut] For the little one.

Dexter Morgan: [narrating] They trust the food you're giving them as safe to eat.

Dexter Morgan: [to Harrison] This way, buddy.

Dexter Morgan: [narrating] They trust you to lead the way.

Dexter Morgan: [to Francisco] Not the usual, today. Two coffees. And, what's good for an apology?

      Francisco: Male or female?

      Dexter Morgan: My sister.

Francisco: I'd go with a cruller.

Dexter Morgan: [narrating] They don't question your motives. Give a kid a mouthful of sugar and trans-fats, and he's your friend for life.

    The Whore of Babylon
Dexter returns to Miami and finds Debra upset with him because of his absence and she tells that the Doomsday Killer is actually Gellar and another man, probably a former student. Louis uses his computer skills to reduce the number of Gellar's former students in Miami to 200 and the list is shared among the detectives that are assigned to investigate each one of them. LaGuerta gives a direct order to Debra to close her investigation of the death by OD of an escort girl. Debra decides to visit names of the list and she meets Travis' sister Lisa. Dexter continues to hunt down Gellar but Travis does not collaborate with him. Meanwhile Gellar abducts Travis and releases his Whore of Babylon in a school.

"Sin of Omission" is a dark episode of this season. Who might be involved in the death of the prostitute? My prime suspect is Deputy Chief Tom Matthews. Travis will certainly become an enemy of Gellar unless he dies. My vote is eight.

Title (Brazil): "O Pecado da Omissão" ("The Sin of the Omission")
