Baking in a tent? "That'll never work" they said. But it has
4 October 2016 | by See all my reviews

Somehow this show has sprung from Auntie Beeb's oven and become one of it's biggest hits. And then it got nicked by Channel 4.

Why does it work? Because it's warm and woolly, and quintessentially British, whatever that means.

We know that it's a lot of fuss about cakes, and that it's chocker block full of innuendos, but then again so was 'Are you being Served?' and the public loved that.

Regardless of whether you find Mel and Sue to be annoying, or whether you rate Paul Hollywood after his antics off screen, what cannot be ignored is that this show is oddly addictive and fun.

Will it last though over on Channel 4? Time will tell.
