Storyline

After his car, inherited from Joe, was sabotaged and damaged in a crash, Jamie tells his father and Danny about the Blue Templar spy status he 'inherited' unwillingly. Grandpa chips in to sketch how the secret society started to clean up NYPD from within where IA failed, but soon started turning bad with new blood. Together, they trace suspect cops like detective Sonny Malevsky and a dirty IA inspector to the present generation, which will stop at nothing to cover up its lucrative crimes, and can't be officially handled. The end of the Blue Templars
13 October 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

A running thread about a secret society of cops called The Blue Templar comes to an end in this episode of Blue Bloods. The late Joseph Reagan was allegedly part of this group and young Jamie Reagan almost immediately upon graduating the Police Academy was recruited to spy on them causing him much angst.

It had been hinted around the edges at how crooked a detective played by Michael T. Weiss was, but now we find out for sure. He's also not stupid and a very dangerous opponent.

It's Len Cariou the former commissioner and head of the Reagan clan who finally tells all about the Templars. A lot of vague conjecture from previous episodes becomes clear.

Tom Selleck himself is in on the final roundup which ends in dramatic fashion.

One of the best Blue Bloods stories.
