The outlaws made headlines. The lawmen made history. From director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), THE HIGHWAYMEN follows the untold story of the legendary detectives who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. Trivia

In the Eastham Prison break, it was Clyde who fired the BAR. Bonnie was in the car honking the horn to give direction to the escapees. See more »

Goofs

One of the weapons Hamer purchases is a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle). Though the weapons were available on the civilian market they were so prohibitively expensive that the likelihood of their being in a small town gun store is extremely slim. See more »

Quotes

Frank Hamer: How'd she fall in with an outlaw like Barrow?
Deputy Ted Hinton: Bored to tears. Along come Clyde in a fine car, by the time she found out the car was stolen, she was already in love.
Maney Gault: Ain't that romantic. I met my wife she was milking a prize Devon at the Oklahoma State Fair, I can't imagine anybody writing a ballad about that encounter.

Excellent

The cinematography, sets and costumes were all, first rate. It's this kind of attention to detail which sets this movie apart from some others. Woody Harrelson is the stand-out performer to me, but Costner more than carries his weight. The atmosphere of austerity in the Western States is palpable. Once again Netflix has nailed it, keep it up guys.
