A post shared by Joan Collins (@joancollinsdbe) on Jul 15, 2018 at 10:37pm Pdt

There are very few things that can get me tearing up on a Monday morning, but this might be the thing that takes me. While on set filming for the eighth season of American Horror Story, first-time cast member Joan Collins shared a super sweet photo with Ahs alum Billie Lourd, who is returning for her second season. The two are shown hugging in front of a trailer, seemingly before getting ready for set. "With Billie Lourd on the Fox lot, outside the set where we're shooting @ahsfx," Collins wrote. "I've now worked with all three generations of her family: her grandmother Debbie, her mother Carrie, and now @praisethelourd."

Collins worked with both Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher on These Old Broads, a 2001 comedy film that Fisher wrote for her mother. Collins and Reynolds became fast friends

Mission: Impossible – Fallout tracking franchise best opening weekend

Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt returns for his latest impossible mission later this month, and according to tracking estimates, the spy sequel Mission: Impossible – Fallout is looking to set a domestic opening weekend record for the franchise.

Box office projects for Fallout are suggesting that the film is looking at a North American opening weekend of $60 million, although other estimates range from between $48 million to $65 million.

The tracking numbers came out prior to the film’s review embargo lifting, and given the high praise it is receiving [read our ★★★★★ review here], it’s certainly possible that the sixth entry in the series could exceed those projections.

Should Fallout manage $60 million (or better), it will set a new record for the series, currently held by Mission: Impossible II on $57.8 million. The previous instalment, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, managed $55.5 million.

2018 Emmy reactions: Our readers Love Adina Porter & Regina King, but cry foul over ‘Twin Peaks’ and Cody Fern snubs
Some of the biggest surprises in the 2018 Emmy nominations, which were announced on July 12, were in the races for movies and miniseries. We thought “Twin Peaks” would clean up, but while it swept Creative Arts categories and earned top noms for its writing and directing, it was snubbed for Best Limited Series and in all acting categories — no Kyle MacLachlan or Laura Dern! Our forum posters were also shocked by the absence of Al Pacino (“Paterno”) for Best Movie/Mini Actor, and they’re up in arms over Evan Peters‘s latest snub for “American Horror Story: Cult.”

But there were bright rays of hope. Our derbyites appreciated the surprise nominations for Regina King and especially Adina Porter (“Ahs: Cult”).

Read some of our forum posters’ reactions below and then be sure to join the discussion to give us your thoughts. And check out the complete list of nominations here.

Emmy cruelly snubs Evan Peters as ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ scares up 7 nominations including Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter
Despite pleas from fans and critics alike, Evan Peters was not able to secure an Emmy nomination for his role as blue-haired cult leader Kai Anderson on “American Horror Story: Cult.” While the 31-year-old actor has been with the show since Day 1, the Emmys still have yet to reward his talent. However, this seventh installment of FX’s anthology series did manage to scare up seven total noms: Best Movie/Mini Actress for Sarah Paulson, Best Movie/Mini Supporting Actress for Adina Porter, Best Hairstyling, Best Non-Prosthetic Makeup, Best Prosthetic Makeup, Best Production Design and Best Sound Editing.

Castle Rock Review: Hulu's Eerie Anthology Gets Stephen King Right

Castle Rock Review: Hulu's Eerie Anthology Gets Stephen King Right
Hollywood’s track record with adapting the works of Stephen King is spotty at best: For every Carrie or It the movie, there’s a Dark Tower or It the miniseries. So Hulu was smart to adapt not just a single novel from the horror master, but all of them at once, creating a sort of Stephen King extended universe. The result: the new anthology Castle Rock (debuting Wednesday, July 25), an effectively eerie patchwork of King’s most famous stories that’s reminiscent of Fargo and American Horror Story, with genuine scares and a wealth of strong performances.

Mayans Mc Teaser: It's About the Bikes?

We know FX Network is the master of the tease.

How many teases do we see before getting a hint of what the actual production of any season of American Horror Story will actually entail?

Probably bordering on too many.

We know relatively little about Mayans Mc so far, and we're getting a lot of teasers for the upcoming continuation of the Sons of Anarchy tale from the side of the Mayans.

Here's what we do know.

The ten-episode series has received good press from FX president Nick Grad.

"Kurt Sutter is a master storyteller, and Mayans Mc has the raw energy and intensity that are hallmarks of his signature style,” Grad in a statement.

“Thanks to Kurt, co-creator Elgin James, and this amazing cast, Mayans Mc builds on the legacy of Sons of Anarchy, taking it in a thrilling new direction that we can’t wait for the world to see.

Here's When You Can Expect American Horror Story Season 8 to Premiere
Just when the break between American Horror Story's season seven finale and season eight premiere was starting to feel like an eternity, Ryan Murphy swooped in with a pretty exciting bit of information about what fans of the FX anthology series can expect in the next batch of episodes.

Despite pretty strong rumors that the season would have a "Radioactive" theme - which would tie in perfectly with Murphy's hints that it's taking place in the near future - the showrunner revealed season eight will actually be the highly anticipated crossover between season one's "Murder House" and season three's "Coven."

The Coven/Murder House Ahs crossover season won't be happening next year...because it's happening This Year. Ahs #8 Witches Rule This September

- Ryan Murphy (@MrRPMurphy) June 14, 2018

Since Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are officially on board to star, will they be reprising both of their respective roles from said seasons?
