The official trailer for the upcoming Fallout series has just dropped.
On Thursday, Amazon Studios unveiled the official trailer for Fallout, a live-action series adaptation of the hit video game franchise. Also unveiled along with the trailer is a new premiere date, with every episode of Fallout now set to drop simultaneously on April 11, 2024. This is one day earlier than the previously announced premiere date. The cinematic trailer carries over the "expansive world building and signature dark humor" of the video game series, per Amazon, and reveals a look at vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) struggling to adapt to the irradiated wasteland on the outside, while also providing the first look at Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury) and Ma June (Dale Dickey). The new trailer can be viewed below.

Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is one of the most celebrated action franchises in the world. The series consists of four films, beginning with Reeves’ John Wick returning to his old life in the underworld after the death of his wife and beloved dog. The series was lauded for its inventive action choreography and world-building.
While Reeves’ John Wick may be a typical action movie character, a trained man with a dark past, there seem to be some extremely particular similarities with another character. John Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, was the protagonist of Jonathan Nolan’s sci-fi crime series Person of Interest. The two characters seem to have a lot in common.

Over 15 years after its release, "The Dark Knight" remains one of the best superhero movies ever made. It's a blockbuster that changed movies forever, helping usher in the era of superhero domination in cinema and legitimizing the genre as more than just popcorn fare. Heath Ledger's posthumous Academy Award win marked the first time a superhero movie had received recognition for its acting at a major awards show, while the movie being snubbed for a Best Picture nod led to the so-called "Dark Knight Rule" (which extended the category's number of nominees from five to 10).
"The Dark Knight" was also the movie that kickstarted Christopher Nolan's love of IMAX, and, all that aside, is just a well-written film with fantastic dialogue that continues to be referenced and parodied to this day. Arguably, however, no line has taken quite on a life of its own quite like Harvey Dent saying,...

No one does it quite like Christopher Nolan! The man is one of the finest filmmakers of all time thanks to his mind-blowing movies, which oftentimes require the audience to have a high level of intellect to truly grasp the essence of the film. Whether it is Inception, Interstellar, or Hollywood’s latest obsession, Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan knows how to create magic on the screen.
Christopher Nolan during an interview with Fox 5
Christopher Nolan not only directs but also writes the script for his films, which sets him apart from the other filmmakers in the entertainment industry. To this date, Insomnia (2002) is his only feature film where he doesn’t get the credit for penning the story. However, there is an iconic dialogue from one of Christopher Nolan’s most popular films that he is still haunted by, only because he wasn’t the one who got to write it!

The juggernaut HBO series has landed a murderer’s row of directing talent for Season 2: Mark Mylod, who just won an Emmy for his work on the final season of HBO’s “Succession”; Kate Herron, who directed every episode of the first season of the Marvel Studios series “Loki”; Stephen Williams, nominated for an Emmy for directing on HBO’s “Watchmen”; and Nina Lopez-Corrado, nominated for an Imagen award for directing on Season 2 of HBO’s “Perry Mason.”
The filmmakers join three veteran directors of the series returning for its second season: Creators and executive producers Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, who respectively helmed the first and second episodes of the show, and Peter Hoar, who was nominated for an Emmy for directing the heartbreaking third episode, “Long, Long Time.”

Did you know that the “P” in Taraji P. Henson stands for Prolific? Just kidding. It actually stands for Penda, which in Swahili means “hope/love.”
But prolific might actually be too small a word to contain the wealth of Henson’s ambitious, wide-ranging career: Oscar-nominated blockbusters, must-see TV, a primetime musical (NBC’s “Annie Live!”) and movies known for their eminent re-watchability.
Now, as the tantalizing, tender-hearted Southern belle Shug Avery in Blitz Bazawule’s musical adaptation of “The Color Purple,” Henson is capping a banner year in which she could have become an Egot recipient with her 2023 work alone: her Emmy-nominated performance as Quinta Brunson’s cash-strapped mom on “Abbott Elementary”; being a principal on the “Purple” soundtrack; and making her first foray as a Broadway producer with the critically acclaimed “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding.” B

Person of Interest defied expectations by evolving from a typical procedural show into a complex, serialized sci-fi drama that explored real-world issues. The show found a balance between its procedural roots and long-form storytelling, creating a unique and addictive experience. Despite its rushed final season, Person of Interest provided a satisfying conclusion that tied up loose ends, although it couldn't reach the same level of intricacy as earlier seasons.
Initially seeming like a typical procedural TV show, Person of Interest defied expectations by delivering five seasons of captivating and high-quality television. Debuting on CBS in 2011, the series appeared to follow a familiar case-of-the-week format focused on preventing crimes predicted by an advanced surveillance AI called The Machine. However, over its run, Person of Interest organically evolved into a more complex, serialized science fiction drama that examined real-world issues like mass surveillance and artificial intelligence through a lens of dynamic characters and a thrilling narrative.

When the child-trafficking drama Sound of Freedom conquered the box office this summer, ultimately taking in more than $242 million worldwide, it was touted as a triumph. Leading man Jim Caviezel, hardly seen since his CBS sci-fi series Person of Interest ended in 2016, proved that he could still command an audience. Tim Ballard, the anti-trafficking activist whose purported rescues of abducted children inspired the film, basked in its hagiographic glow. Director and co-writer Alejando Monteverde, who had once believed this project “would never see the light of day,” witnessed it become a global phenomenon.

The first "Fallout" game hit the market way back in 1997 and took place in a post-apocalyptic future world following a nuclear war between the United States and China. In a stylistic twist, the designs for the game extrapolated what the devastated nuclear mid-21st century would look like had the bomb dropped back in the 1950s, giving everything a retro-futurist aesthetic. The first two "Fallout" games were only available on PCs, but the series really took off in popularity when the series moved to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 -- and to the high-profile Bethesda Game Studios --in 2008 with the release of "Fallout 3." As of this writing, there are 12 "Fallout" video games. Debating which "Fallout" game is the best seems to be one of those merry inter-fan debates that keep its fandom alive.

Actor Erik Jensen, who’s known for roles on “The Walking Dead” and “Mr. Robot,” revealed in a recent GoFundMe page that he is battling Stage 4 cancer. The page, started Oct. 18 by Jessica Blank, asks for help with his medical bills.
“After miraculously surviving a brain aneurysm just a year and a half ago, our beloved Erik Jensen was just diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer,” the fundraiser by Blank reads.
Blank wrote,”Erik and his family are in for the fight of their lives, and they need your support,” adding that the diagnosis is not necessarily “a death sentence.”
The cancer has reportedly metastasized to the actor’s liver, but “his doctors have a shot at shrinking the tumors enough to do two very major surgeries and get them all out,” according to Blank. So far, more than $97,000 has been raised towards a goal of $300,000.

The action genre is about as straightforward as it gets. The best action TV shows need plenty of fight scenes, high-stakes chases, and intense confrontations. While the 2010s birthed some incredibly popular action series, like Sons of Anarchy, Person of Interest, and The Walking Dead, other high-octane shows from the decade are criminally underrated.
The 2010s was such a great decade for action series some naturally fell through the cracks. Overlooked and underrated TV shows like Into the Badlands and Jessica Jones demonstrated their worth throughout their runs, but never garnered the widespread praise they deserved.

Person of Interest season 6 could have further explored the battle with Samaritan and the concept of "backups" of the main characters in the Machine. The sudden cancellation of the show came as a surprise to the cast, who were not ready to see it end, despite the intense shooting schedule. Since the series ended, the main cast members have remained active in the entertainment industry, taking on various projects in film and television.
When Person of Interest was canceled after season 5 because CBS no longer made a profit from the series, there were plans for what season 6's story could've been about. The action-thriller series was based on the concept of an artificial intelligence called The Machine that could predict murders before they happen. It provided "numbers" to its creator, Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), which would point to a "person of interest", who could end up being the victim or the perpetrator of a crime.

In a summer filled with shocking disappointments and surprise hits, nothing has been more surprising than the controversial faith-based "Sound of Freedom." Hailing from Angel Studios and starring Jim Caviezel ("Person of Interest"), the film took the industry and exhibitors by surprise when it first hit theaters over the Fourth of July holiday. It has been on a tear ever since. Now, in its sixth weekend and as the summer movie season is winding down, the film has officially become one of the highest-grossing domestic releases of 2023.
"Sound of Freedom" has now amassed $172.84 million domestically, per The Numbers, putting it just above "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" ($172.64 million) to make it the tenth highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office this year. The fact that a movie with next to no mainstream advertising ahead of its release has surpassed an "Indiana Jones" movie from Disney and Lucasfilm in North America is downright shocking.

In the early 2000s, Jim Caviezel was on the cusp of Hollywood stardom, as Caviezel’s essential truth-telling, quiet charm, and sheer unpretentiousness gave Caviezel a disarmingly effective screen presence in the films Angel Eyes, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Frequency.
Of course, Caviezel gained worldwide fame with his titular performance in the 2004 Mel Gibson-directed biblical drama film The Passion of the Christ, which was a great commercial success but sharply divided audiences and critics, largely along political and religious lines, as the film was criticized for being excessively violent and containing perceived anti-Semitic representations.
Despite the fact that The Passion of the Christ grossed more than $600 million at the worldwide box office, Caviezel’s strong identification with the film, and especially the role of Jesus Christ, along with Caviezel’s strict adherence to his Catholic faith, seemingly made Caviezel undesirable in Hollywood.

Review: Sound of Freedom is definitely one of the most notable movies of the summer season. Having originally been produced by 20th Century Fox before Disney acquired the company, the movie sat on the shelf for five years. Boasting a modest budget and coming from a pretty tiny studio, the grassroots campaign used to market the film has resulted in some pretty staggering box office results, with it having already grossed $40 million. It will likely be the highest-grossing independent film of the year. However, it’s also been a lightning rod for controversy, with many slamming it as a “Quanon film.

Warning: The following article contains spoilers from Cruel Summer season 2, episodes 1 and 2.Cruel Summer is back with season 2, and this time, the entire cast consists of new actors and characters. The Freeform anthology series depicts a new mystery in its second season, and it's told in three different timelines — the summer of 1999, winter of 1999, and summer of 2000. Cruel Summer revolves around two best friends — Megan and Isabella, who might be involved in the disappearance and murder of one of their close friends in the small town of Chatham.
The premiere led viewers to believe that Isabella was the one who went missing when, in reality, it was Luke, Megan's boyfriend, and Isabella's summer fling. Since FX moved under the Disney umbrella in 2019, it has sometimes been difficult to find its programming; I’m a professional and I’m often stymied when it comes to which FX shows actually air on FX and which are Hulu exclusives. But FX shows have still felt like FX shows.
The new FX-produced drama Class of ’09 is a puzzlement. One of those Hulu-only offerings, Class of ’09 surely has the air and aura of an FX show, from its sturdy, cinematic production values to a cast topped by FX veterans Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and Kate Mara (A Teacher) to its creation by writer Tom Rob Smith (The Assassination of Gianni Versace). But what it feels like? Well, it feels like a broadcast TV show from a decade ago — specifically like ABC’s Quantico, a drama remembered largely by Priyanka Chopra Jonas devotees.

This week's big streaming releases include the return of "Sweet Tooth," a rare post-apocalyptic tale that's all about optimism (and cute critters), and the premiere of "Citadel," the second-most-expensive TV show ever made and the hopeful start of a global franchise. Elsewhere, if you want more apocalyptic fun with big smiles and dark undertones, there's "Ranking of Kings" and "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts." Or perhaps you want something before the apocalypse but with dark forces starting to gather, like the criminally underseen "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance." For something completely different, "Person of Interest" is a spy thriller with some rather prescient thoughts about AI, "Source Code" is a fun sci-fi time loop thriller, "Spies in Disguise," is a hilarious take on the "James Bond" formula, and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" stares at the end of the world and chooses kindness.

Abbott Elementary has cast a TV icon in the role of Janine's mother. Second-grade teacher Janine is the character played by Quinta Brunson, who also created the hit ABC sitcom set at a Philadelphia public school. The cast of the series, which has already won three Emmys, also includes Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Per Variety, the Abbott Elementary cast has gained one more familiar face. It was previously teased that the upcoming April 12 episode, titled "Mom," would reveal Janine's mother for the first time.
