Storyline

ASST (pronounced "Assist") was created by Josh Cohen in order to tell the story of all those assistants worldwide that are over-worked, under paid, and unappreciated. This is their story. A view from the bottom up. Series Background Our six main characters, like most in the industry, are chained to their desks all day, every day. They communicate via a Video Conference (called ASST), where the 6 of them go about their daily work while keeping each other entertained, and sane. Together they help each other survive insane bosses, deadlines, and impossible tasks asked of them on a daily basis. Characters We follow the lives of Zack Wells (an asst at a large talent agency), Erica Morrison (an actor's home assistant), Brandon Gross (a producer's asst), Marcus Steele (a comic book studio assistant), Jill Davis (a costume warehouse assistant), and Kerry Collins (an assistant at an entertainment law firm). Written by Josh Cohen (Creator)

Smart, witty and funny

ASST is a Los Angeles young persons version of The Office. The writing is full of wit and with a realism associated to it that any young person ever forced to sit in such a position could attest to. Even the acting, which for a web-series is often its downfall, is filled with what is sure to be future talent. The premise of multiple offices linked via webcam from assistant to assistant allows for all sorts of humor and comedy to take place. With future episodes shifting scenery and adding additional characters who fit various Los Angeles young persons stereotypes, it is apparent that the show, and its pen smith, have a brain child here that can only help their blossoming careers. Between the premise, writing, and cast, this series has the potential to continue onto network TV and I for one will certainly watch it.
