Sex & Nudity

  • A male character masturbates to a picture of one of the female characters. One sex scene. Very little nudity, one second of two naked bodies but no nipples or frontal nudity.
  • In episode 5, there are many scenes showing people that are either partially dressed or not dressed at all. There is one instance of graphic nudity in this episode while people are in an elevator but this is very easily missed.
  • In episode 2, a brief nipple flash is seen from an angry naked woman throwing a glass at the Larry Underwood character.
  • Multiple graphic orgy scenes in Vegas
  • Once the characters arrive in Vegas (seen later in the episodes) almost every scene in filled with debauchery of all kinds. A lot of sexual scenes are in the background. Gay and straight sex is seen in the background. A lot of bare-breasted women are seen and a lot of bare bottoms are also seen, and sexual movements are very visible.
  • Multiple graphic sex scenes, both male and female nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Multiple shootings, Multiple bombing deaths. Several scenes of decomposing corpses.
  • Many people are killed by lightning with much blood
  • A character is hit in the head and blood sprays
  • A character is stabbed in the neck, it has no effect though


  • Lots of instances of dropping the f-bomb.
  • At least 20-25 F-words in the first episode alone. At least 10 uses of Sh-t, and 5 uses each of A-s, H-l, B-ch Etc.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A lot of characters and extras are seen drinking, using drugs and smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A character is seen with black eyes (possessed). This same character has markings of crucifixion. Another character (main) is sometimes seen with eyes that can be alarming.

Violence & Gore

  • Randall Flagg beats and butchers a man into a bloody pulp in an elevator. Most is offscreen but his blood splatters all over the glass and his torn face and torso are briefly seen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Suicide Trigger Warning: Episode 7, roughly 25 minutes in, a main character commits suicide. The act is shown, though at a distance, so no blood is visible - but still very graphic.
