Though I am still not sure how we're already halfway through the season and the plot development has been slow and isn't clear what direction it is moving toward, but this episode is definitely the best of the season so far and the most engaging one.
We finally get to see Kang for the first time this season and this variant requires a bit of decent acting which Jonathan Majors delivered really well.
I'm not sure Mobius acts like Renslayer hasn't done anything wrong or as if she's not the biggest most famous criminal all of TVA must be after, and just chit-chats with her like it's nothing and has no desire to take her in whatsoever. They literally prune anybody in their timeline if they go off their designated path. A guy could go for a glass of water instead of milk one day in his kitchen and the TVA simps rush off to his world to make him disappear so the precious timeline would be safe. But they don't care that Renslayer who caused all this chaos and doomed all those people is running around scott-free? It just seems weird to me.
But probably the highlight of this episode apart from Victor Timely, is Miss Minutes. I didn't expect her to be like that in this episode and she's become the most intriguing thing this season so far, because I still don't know what the story is leading to. So the only thing so far that's interesting is to see what Miss Minutes is up to.
And although the pacing of this episode isn't as chaotic and fast-moving as the first episode, it is still way better-paced than the second episode and far more interesting and a lot happens in this episode.
So far this was the best episode of this very short season, and a lot has been set up just like the previous episodes. But so far, it is still unclear what the end goal of this season and the story is, and I hope they don't sacrifice a well-developed plot throughout the season for some cheap twist and reveal and exposition instead of letting the story naturally develop, which seems to be the case here so far.

An episode of two halves. It opens with a fine ragtime version of the Marvel fanfare.
Loki and Mobius arrive at the World's Fair in Chicago in 1893 and meet a variant of Kang. He is Victor Timely posing as an inventor and scamming potential investors with futuristic gadgets.
All because back in 1868, Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) jumped back to find Miss Minutes in Chicago. A contingency plan was formed by Kang in case he died. They would give a young Victor Timely a handbook on how to create and run the TVA. He just does not realise the full impact of the handbook yet.
All this makes Loki and Mobius's job difficult to bring Victor Timely to the TVA in order to fix things. Even more so when Sylvie arrives to destroy all of Kang's variants.
Finally the third episode is getting in to the real story for the second season. Jonathan Majors gets something major to do as Timely.
Then it becomes an episode where Miss Minutes and Ravonna Renslayer fight for Timely's affections. It weakened the story and lacked impact.

If you have a story to tell, I'd assume that you would want to get to the point fairly quikly.
This episode however is completly devoid of any actual plot. It introduces us to some exposition, telling more than it shows, but that could've been explained in a few minutes. Instead, we get 40 minutes of chasing. Loki and his companion, Mobius search for one person, then they search for that person, then they chase a little more and that's basicall all that happens.
Little of the previous conflicts were resolved, the plot ended where it began. Instead of actually following some linear progression, the writers just introduce one random problem after the other. The plot is approaching some real end, but it never reaches it.
To be honest, i can't even remember what it was that they were trying to solve in the first place. The end of the first season suggested that someone else took over the TVA. Then Loki switched timelines within the TVA (for some reason, they never said why), then they needed to restart their time-power-generator. I don't think the writers themselves knew where to go with this.
What is this mess? Well, i'm not going to figure out. This show has made it clear that it does not value my time and doesn't expect me to remember anything for more than 20 minutes.

Although it's a solid episode, it might be my least favourite in the entire series so far. It continues the story very nicely and definitely isn't a bad episode by any means, but it's just not that good (if that makes any sense).
I'm trying to say that I've not really got many issues with it (except for a few historical inaccuracies), but it's not a great episode. It was very fun and intriguing, however, to see the plot progress, and to see what came of Ravonna's Season 1 ending, which has gone unexplained up until this point.
I'm very excited to see what comes next, and don't take my below-average rating as me not really enjoying this season so far!

Absolutely incredible. Easily my favorite episode so far. Jonathon Majors delivers an incredible performance as Victor Timley, Miss Minutes goes absolutely wild (in a phenomenal way), the direction is great, the cinematography is beautiful, and the story is awesome. Some personal favorite scenes were Mobious and Loki seamlessly transition between isn't Chicago 1868 and 1893, Slyvies conversation with Timely at the end of the episode, and Miss Minutes - let's just say being a little freaky with Timely. Such a crazy and unexpected episode that worked in every way. The music was incredible as usual, I particularly loved the opening credits music. Also the ending of the episode has me wanting to create a Time Machine and teleport to the future so I can watch episode 4 already. So good.
