Cruise

A great dark comedy. The reasons - from my r-tensioned relation with the phone annuncements about prizes, promotions, offerts , gifts to the special perspective about people calling me.

Two tickets for voyage in Hawaiii. A man reminding old fashion Mafia killers with a gun. A young man and his three tries to convince a person about extraordinary offert of a free vacantion.

And, the result of this try in two cases.

Fair crafted atmosphere, nice tension and the two guys , some bureaucratic problem when the phone calls and the prize , different by expected execution.

In short, just a pleasant, smart and maybe good kick to become more cooperator - indulgent with the poor operator who calls you.

"Cruise" is about two guys who are forced to call people and convince them that they've won a free cruise. The callers aren't just forced to convince them, though. They have to also get their contact information. If the callers fail three times, they're killed by a gunman who's sitting with them in an office room. It seems that a lot of people are forced to make these calls. I don't know why, but I didn't care why. It's darkly funny. Do these two guys succeed? Well, I'm not gonna spoil the film for you.

The acting, writing, cinematography, and such are great. Visually speaking, the film is dark, but it doesn't look too dark. Like I wrote, it made me laugh. I really liked the ending. I don't *think* the story is realistic, but this is a film and films don't always have to be realistic. "Cruise" is well-made and I highly recommend it.

No pun intended - do you get calls from people who are trying to sell you something? Or tell you you won something? Mostly with more than a few strings attached? Well we now get a look behind the scenes - or on the phone with the people who have to sell you these .. things! Again no pun intended.

Of course this is more than heightened - but quite entertaining. I have not seen a movie that gave the benefit of the doubt to those scam callers. Apparently they have a few tries to be succesful ... otherwise ... well not a good outcome for them. And not something those who are sensitive may want to see.

Interesting short that focuses on something most of us surely have not thought about ... well done.
