Keanu Reeves Casts Doubt on ‘Bill & Ted 3’ Actually Happening: ‘It Still Has Its Challenges’
“Bill & Ted” fans rejoiced in May when it was confirmed a third film in the franchise was on the way with original stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Returning returning. The film, entitled “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” announced it was heading into pre-production with “Galaxy Quest” and “Red 2” filmmaker Dean Parisot directing from a script by Chris Matheson and Ed Soloman, both of whom wrote the 1989 original and its 1991 sequel. Unfortunately, the third installment might not be as much of a guarantee as originally reported.

Speaking to Yahoo! Entertainment, Reeves cast doubt on “Bill & Ted Face the Music” happening by teasing some behind-the-scenes issues. The actor did not get into any of the specifics, but he did mention he’s unsure as of July 2018 if a third movie is “a reality.” Reeves said the script is ready to go but that “financing, rights, deals” are standing in the way.

‘Winchester’ Film Review: Helen Mirren Looks Bored, and With Good Reason

  • The Wrap
Based on a true story — or as the movies guardedly put it these days, “inspired by true events” — “Winchester” hurls Dame Helen Mirren into her first horror movie. With 129 acting credits listed to her name on IMDb, it’s amazing to find Mirren hasn’t really done horror before, although John Boorman’s “Excalibur” was a bit scary, Peter Greenaway’s “The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover” was baroque, and “Red 2” and “Collateral Beauty” are a couple of shockers. Here, in an Australian-backed enterprise by the Spierig Brothers (“Daybreakers,” “Jigsaw”), the Oscar winner plays Sarah Winchester, a spinster...

‘Catching Fire’ Lifts Lionsgate Quarterly Earnings Above Forecasts

Citing a strong performance by “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” Lionsgate has reported earnings of $88.8 million, or 64 cents a share — well above Wall Street forecasts of 44 cents — for its third quarter ended Dec. 31.

The third-quarter earnings more than doubled the year-ago profits of $37.8 million, or 27 cents a share. Revenues jumped 13% to $839.9 million, driven by strong domestic and international box office performance of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” along with international contributions from “Now You See Me.”

Worldwide box office for “Catching Fire” is more than 25% above “The Hunger Games.” The sequel, starring Jennifer Lawrence at Katniss Everdeen, took in $421 million domestically — making it the top title released in 2013 — and another $438 million overseas.

“Our stellar results in the quarter were attributable to our operating performance, the favorable environment for content and the benefits from our strong balance sheet,” said Lionsgate Chief Executive Officer Jon Feltheimer. “We will continue to invest in

The actress, 68, said she had "tried in my bedroom. It was absolutely humiliating." But Mirren was a good sport, and had no problem bending over and shaking her

Bruce Willis Reunites with M. Night Shyamalan for Labor of Love

Bruce Willis Reunites with M. Night Shyamalan for Labor of Love
Bruce Willis is reuniting with The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable director M. Night Shyamalan for a new drama entitled Labor of Love.

The project is actually one of the first scripts M. Night Shyamalan ever sold, with 20th Century Fox buying the screenplay in 1993. However, the project never got off the ground since the writer insisted on directing, and the studio wouldn't let an untested filmmaker take the helm. The script re-surfaced several years ago when Denzel Washington was eyeing the project, but it never materialized until now. Emmett/Furla/Oasis will provide the financing, with Im Global selling the film at the European Film Market in Berlin. 20th Century Fox still owns the screenplay, although deals are currently being worked out and should be finalized next month.

The story follows a Philadelphia book store owner (Bruce Willis) whose life is shattered when the love of his life dies in a tragic accident.
