Quotes

Vivian Volkoff: My father- he didn't want me involved in any of this.
Borisn Cominsky: Really? You were skeet shooting at age 7, had your black belt by 13. And by the time you graduated from the London School of Economics, you were fluent in 5 languages. You whole life your father's been grooming you. You are his succession plan. But he was wrong about you. He couldn't recognize what you really are - an indecisive weak little girl.

Bad parenting in a sitcom - big surprise
29 December 2011 | by Thorned_RoseSee all my reviews

While this episode itself was pretty good, if you remotely care about babies and children, don't bother watching this episode! The 'fail' parenting in this will have you screaming at the TV. And I don't mean putting the baby in some ridiculous dangerous situation in which it's saved from doom at the last possible moment and they go on to live happily ever after. No. I mean, the actual bad stuff - sexualizing breastfeeding: really?! Saying a 4 months old baby is old enough to sleep in their own room: honestly?! Here the writers had potential to go against the normal sitcom grain and actually show some great parenting skills that doesn't normalize stupid parenting practices. But instead we get the same tired old rerun of parents ready to tear their hair out because the Baby. Just. Won't. Sleep. Get some new material people! Really.
