I liked the short but i think it wasn't enough, some shorts are good that they are shorts but this looks to me like a good beginning for a great film, maybe a pitch to some investors but not good to be a stand alone

I saw this movie at the Manhattan Short film festival (Sept. 23 - Oct. 2, 2011) in San Antonio, Texas.

Running time: 12 minutes.

Review: Outstanding.

Visually impressive. Nice Kurosawa (Rashomon) opening with the leaves running in the forest.

The contrast of shades (b&w) and shapes helps to disorient the viewer - as is the main character's internal struggle to make sense of what he thinks he saw and what he believes is happening.

Sound: The emphasis of the sound track is the emptiness of the forest and the fear it helps to flame within the young man. The mood is tense and builds without any resolution. Impressive.

Finally, what I loved about this movie is the subtle moments that focus on the sensations of taste, touch, and smell. The use of watermelon on a hot day, water to quench a thirst and a pepper on a sandwich provide us with real sense of being there. Absolutely perfect comic timing as well.

Ending: The final scene in the movie left me asking questions, worried about our main character's choices and final decision. Just a great short film.
