Storyline

This feature documentary tells the story of Venice Beach, California and the struggle being fought to maintain the spirit of liberation that the area has been historically known for. The Venice Beach boardwalk, a famous public space used by free expressionists and the artist community, has been compromised by the onset of big development. Government officials, artists, and homeless activists weigh in on issues of gentrification, homelessness, and freedom in one of the few places in the country that still believes in fighting for the American Dream.
