Two young Shakers prepare to depart their celibate community, and have second thoughts when they meet a broken family on the road. Based on a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Come Life was shot at a real Shaker village, and features Shaker dance rituals.

Filmed at the historic Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the 1830 brick dwelling and Meeting House, much of the rehearsal for the dance scenes was done at the Mount Lebanon Shaker Village in New York. See more
