This series follows a CIA agent with a major mental health disorder. She tries to grapple with her treatment, relationships and job, which she is incredibly dedicated to. The seasons tend to revolve around terrorism but within this, there is a degree of variability in how compelling the narratives are. I didn't enjoy season 1 so much but it really builds up into something great!

What strikes me is how true and profound Claire Danes' performance is to the illness itself. There was so much nuance in how she played the role. To those not familiar with ir, the way she behaves with men is quite true and ultimately, you'll cringe because of the self destructive behavior she rings true to. Top performance!
