Storyline

Chief Reagan has little hope of calming grieving Russian mob lord Grushenko after the fatal shooting of his firstborn son, who was with an 'easy' girl at his wedding. Danny investigates gang and personal suspects. Jamie is startled by the reported 'suicide' of his Blue Templar investigation contact Linda. D.A. and mayoral election challenger Charles Rossellini hands Erin, the mayor's protégée, the high-profile case of the corruption-accused deputy mayor, which probably hangs on 'glorified delivery boy' Joshua Saunders. Goofs

Danny states that the victim was shot three times with a .38 and no shell casing were found. The gun shown during the shooting was a semi-automatic so could not be a .38 and would have left shell casings in not picked up. See more »

Fraught with politics
11 August 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

This episode focuses primarily on ADA Bridget Moynahan and Donnie Wahlberg of the Reagan law enforcement family. Wahlberg catches the case of the shooting of the son of a Russian gangster family head. The NYPD is understandably worried about dead bodies piling up in and around Brighton Beach if a mob war starts.

When the reason is discovered it's for one of the more prosaic motives ever. What some won't do for their family.

At the same time the DA Bobby Cannavale assigns Moynahan a tricky corruption case involving a prostitution ring that could touch the mayor's office. The case is fraught with politics as Cannavale is a rival of Mayor Bruce Altman and looking at that job to move up. It's a minefield.

Watch this to see how the minefield is navigated.
