Sex & Nudity

  • There are a number of moderate sex references, mainly relating to the underworld of prostitution in Mumbai.
  • One of the key characters is a female prostitute who talks about her profession.
  • For example she says 'AIDS is bad for business', 'He's a pimp' and 'You'll always be a whore's lame son'.
  • These verbal references are accompanied by undetailed sight of brothels and brothel owners, as well as other sex workers.
  • However, there is no nudity and no portrayal of sexual activity.
  • There is brief sight of a DVD shop with the sign 'Hot Movies' displayed above some DVD covers showing women in bikinis.
  • Several scenes showing partial cleavage.
  • Prostitution racket is shown. Many women are shown dressed as prostitutes, and some scenes involving a prostitute trying to comfort a man are shown. No nudity is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • There is some moderate violence, including a scene in which a man is shot three times in the chest by another man.
  • In another scene, a sniper is seen shooting a long range target in the head, albeit without sight of blood.


  • The film contains some mild bad language (e.g. 'bloody', 'bullshit', 'shit').
  • The words "hulkat" and "randi" are used several times. No major profanity.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The opening titles show a character heating a piece of foil containing opium or heroin and inhaling the drug.
  • Several scenes include smoking. All scenes include the subtitle "cigarette smoking is injurious to health"
  • A man is shown drinking alcohol at a bar.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Car collides with the sidewalk wall and crashes in the sea.

  • There is a scene where Surjan thinks about two possibilities which he could have done that would save his son's life. This scene is very upsetting.
  • Two women sit and try summoning the spirit of the dead son of one of the women over the table with a candle, the other woman writes everything on a paper. The scene can be intense for young children
  • Towards the end of the movie, a scene in which the driver of the car looks at the rear view mirror and is surprised to spot a girl which appears to be sitting in the rear seat of his car. At the next moment she disappears and appears on the road ahead of him, which causes an accident.
