An Exploitation Movie
1 July 2017 | by fairlesssamSee all my reviews

This is basically an exploitation movie with abuse of all the worst kinds on vulnerable people. I don't know what it is trying to achieve other that to shock, and show how people in power can abuse their positions. It is not for pleasant watching in any sense because even as a potential horror it is still abuse on the vulnerable, the mentally ill.

George admits himself into Bedlam Psychiatric Asylum for a last ditch attempt at recovery. His mother was mentally ill and he has sadly followed suit. He trusts his mother's doctor and signs away his own rights as a person.

As soon as he arrives at Bedlam he is treated with cruelty, told to strip by two horrible guards.

This movie contains strong violence, torture, abuse, rape and cruelty with no particular depth or direction. The characters are also disturbing. For me it was not something I enjoyed but as horror fans the fact that this is a work of art, someone's idea of communicating some kind of message then you may enjoy working out what that is.
