Inspired by a true story about 2 intertwined families that are the embodiment of the immigration debate facing America today. One family is an American farming family who own Love Orchard Farms. The other family is of Mexican descent and in the U.S. illegally, having worked for Love Orchard for years. Their connection with each other is put to the test when immigration threatens to deport Angelina, a 3-year old child. —Shandrew Public Relations
Another great INDIE film to add to your collection!!
I was invited to the screening here in Los Angeles and was not disappointed. This is a timely movie based on actual events. Excellent direction, photography, screenplay and acting - I'm a big fan of Bruce Dern (if he doesn't win the Oscar this year for his current work I'll be shocked!) and he was excellent in this film as well. Kristanna Loken is a not only beautiful and talented, but perfectly cast to play the lead and daughter of her real life father - story author Chris Loken. Unfortunately the timely release of the film will divide the reviews. I just happen to be more of a film critic than a Republican and I gage content on quality not politics. Immigration is no doubt a hot button issue in this country, but this film does an excellent job defining the hardship of not having a solution to the problem. So, in my somewhat broad but picky opinion of INDIE films, I think this one is a great addition to any film collector's library!
