In the opening scene, Horatio is attempting to shut the water main off with a 36" pipe wrench. That particular meter well requires a water key or a crescent wrench. The valve stop is vertical. It would be impossible to use a pipe wrench of that size.

Frank Tripp: [Calling car rentals in search of New Mexico plates] Yeah, New Mexico plates on any of the cars - you got any?

      [Listens for a moment]

Frank Tripp: What do you mean you don' give out that information?

      [Listens again]

Frank Tripp: Excuse me... New Mexico is not a foreign country.

[Shakes his head, then as he hangs up the phone]

      Frank Tripp: Jiminy Christmas.

The Internet Can Be A Dangerous Place
It's sad that a lot of this sort of thing seems to go on the Internet - people posing as someone else and gullible folks - many times young girls - winding up suffering for it. In this case, BOTH parties are liars. Things really get messy when a third party intervenes. Man, if this isn't a good lesson to say away from the Internet and meet real people if you want to date, I don't know what is.

Anyway, the show starts off with a double murder and it turns out to be so strange that the medical examiner "Dr. Loomis," is amazed, himself. His correct conclusion is that a bullet that hit its intended victim, bounced around in the victim's head and then ricocheted out the point-of-entry and struck a woman in a nearby car, killing her, too!!!! As you can see by the above-two paragraphs, the title to this episode is aptly named: F-T-F, which means Face To Face.
