Sophie wakes up, hears scary noises from her parents' bedroom and sees her dad dead. A psychologist arrives there to determine what happened.
Criminal psychologist Kate Fuller is assigned to the murder of a man who has seemingly been strangled in his sleep by his wife and the only witness is their eight-year-old daughter, Sophie. As Kate digs into the mystery of an ancient demon which kills people in their sleep, she experiences the same petrifying symptoms as all previous victims and spirals through a chilling nightmare to save herself and Sophie before she dares fall asleep again.
When a man is apparently murdered by his wife Helena during the night, the rookie criminal psychologist Dr. Kate Fuller is assigned to investigate whether she should go to prison or to an institution. She promises to Helena's little daughter Sophie that her mother would stay with her. But when the woman claims that a demon killed her husband during a sleep paralysis, Dr. Fuller sends her to an institution. However she decides to investigate the case further and discovers a creepy truth about an ancient demon that attacks people with sleep paralysis.
