Scream VI

Scream VI is a solid entry to the franchise. The Carpenter sisters along with Chad & Mindy have moved into New York City, while coping up with their past. Based out of Woodsboro, the film throws in new set of Ghostface killers who torment the sisters and their friends. This time it is about acknowledging the film as a proper franchise and as per franchise rules, nobody is safe, not even the legacy characters. Thus, the director duo takes us through a wild ride through the famed city.

The film holds your attention right from the start. This one is bigger, bloodier and super fun. As much the kills are fun, so is the whole set up to the pay off. The subway one was a total standout scene. The film moves in such a brisk pace, 2hrs passes by just like that. The final reveal might not be that good but then there is no point in nitpicking when the film does proper fan service by being meta while serving the recurring characters a decent tribute.
