Lush uncle Charlie chases Jake's classmate-date just when the kids are getting physical. The promised payback comes when Alan drags Jake along to congratulate Evelyn on another gloomy birthday on which she was dumped: Jake inspires Alan to invite her to a birthday dinner on Sunday while Jake is at Judith's. Evelyn drinks and drags her sons to the pharmacy, and Charlie hopes to match her with pharmacist Russell, given their matching vices. Alas, Russell's 'romantic' manners prove even worse then the Harpers'.
