    Storyline

    Edit
You can't say Mr. Lobo doesn't know Dick -- because in 1947 people didn't say things like that -- not even in gritty crime stories. The host of the long running cult TV series "Cinema Insomnia" Mr. Lobo presents his TV version of the film based on Chester Gould's classic comic strip "Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome," also known as "Dick Tracy Meets Boris Karloff." Star Ralph Byrd proves to be even more 2-D than the stylized detective from the Sunday funnies, especially when pitted against the man who played Frankenstein's Monster, Boris Karloff. See trailers from crime genre films, 1930's to present, a very culturally insensitive Dick Tracy cartoon from the 60's, retro clips, drive-in Snack Bar ads and rival horror host Lady Skankenstein steal the second half of the movie from Mr. Lobo. A Must see for all Cinema Insomnia fans or "Cinsomniacs." —Anonymous
