    Storyline

    Edit
Call and Rebecca Richmond were born into Atlanta's high society. To their neighbors, they we're the perfect family. Nothing was further from the truth. Mary, their paranoid schizophrenic mother, was medicating herself with narcotics, but the doctors preferred shock treatments. Their father tried to keep it secret, though the strain was more than he could bear. Years later, Call developed paranoid schizophrenia and walked out on his life. Overwhelmed by voices in his head, he wandered the country, drifting in and out of sanity. Amazingly, after twenty years of searching, Rebecca found Call alive, but not well... A Sister's Call chronicles Rebecca's mission to bring her brother back from the depths of homelessness and schizophrenia all while seeking a way to heal herself from the past. —Anonymous

    Very well done
This is a very moving documentary that has such depth and is so well edited. Powerful - sometimes hard to watch but that is what makes it so great. The film covers so many facets of life - not just mental illness or homelessness but also many social cultural issues involving families and growing up in America. The woman gave so much to her brother that her own family seemed to suffer as she was trying to reconnect to her roots. I think that her children and husband had a difficulty as time went on. It is a film that anyone who has suffered from depression needs to see. Bravo braves souls who made and edited this touching film.
