Storyline

Joy Robertson's two sons will both be off to college next year, so she wants to make this "the best Christmas ever." Joy is feeling unappreciated, however, since her husband and sons are preoccupied with their own concerns, and providing no assistance with the many Christmas preparations, while still expecting Mom to handle all the arrangements for hubby's office party and parties for her sons' friends, as well. Inspired by a grocery workers' strike in town, Joy decides to follow suit, and goes "on strike for Christmas." Written by DVD-TCMjunkie

Hilarious! One of the funniest movies I have seen in a while
6 December 2014 | by See all my reviews

I am not going to give a long or detailed review but I just wanted to say that this movie was very funny, light-hearted, and family friendly. I laughed so hard that I had to pause the DVR several times because I could not stop laughing. The baking scene with the boys and their dad was so funny! This movie is a reminder to spouses and children all over the world, that the home's matriarch/patriarch does so much to make the Holiday's perfect for everyone else, so it would be nice if everyone else could just pitch in and take some of the burden off of their shoulders.

I cannot understand why this movie got such a low rating, I thought it was great!
