On December 5, 2017, director Bryan Singer was simply fired from the shooting of Bohemian Rhapsody. Dexter Fletcher was commissioned to complete the film (2 weeks of filming remaining). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rami Malek reportedly complained of Bryan Singer's absence, lack of seriousness and professionalism, but everyone eventually decided to put his differences aside. Until the filmmaker's last absence, prolonged, which required the interruption of the filming and was too much for the studio, while the representatives of Singer evoked "health problems" to justify it.
