Mixed Feelings as well
16 May 2017 | by zabeingSee all my reviews

I'm a 50 something woman whose college aged daughter watches this show so I am watching it so we can talk about it. I like the overall story line and see there is a brand of feminism and social commentary it offers. My daughter does not think most twenty something women live like this but, then again, she is not in NYC.

I find the show overly graphic without a real need to be with significantly more tits and ass than balls and dick. It is sort of is hypocritical in that way given the brand of woman freedom it seems to me it is trying to promote in the world.

The girls' story lines are interesting and it is really really funny. Great wit and humor throughout. The main character is a love. I like the inclusion of gay characters. One episode had a fabulous abortion situation that was dead on in my opinion. Again, the social commentary that show up at times is excellent.

I think it is definitely worth watching a few episodes. My only real complaint is that it feels to me as if the show is continuing the notion that naked men are not wanted to be viewed on TV. I would prefer as much penis viewing as full on naked women. It really just dilutes its potency somehow for me.
