'Exposed' Trailer Has Keanu Reeves Investigating a Miracle

'Exposed' Trailer Has Keanu Reeves Investigating a Miracle
After a string of recent flops such as 47 Ronin, Generation Um... and his directorial debut Man of Tai Chi, Keanu Reeves got back on the right track last year with John Wick. The action star is currently shooting the sequel John Wick 2, but while we wait for that to hit theaters next year, Gulf Films has released the first trailer for the actor's next thriller, Exposed, along with two photos. The project doesn't have a release date at this time, but it does reunite the actor with one of his most recent co-stars.

Exposed, which was previously known as Daughter of God, features Keanu Reeves starring alongside Ana de Armas once again, his co-star from the thriller Knock Knock, which hit theaters last month. The actor portrays Detective Scott Galban, who has been searching for the truth behind his partner's death. He encounters a young woman (Ana de Armas) who has experienced a miracle,

Exclusive: Listen To An Energetic Cut From The 'I Origins' Soundtrack By Will Bates & Phil Mossman

Blending science, romance and spirituality all into a movie we called "an intelligent and ambitious adult drama," you might think the soundtrack to "I Origins" would be perhaps somber or restrained. You would be mistaken. Will Bates and Phil Mossman, who have previously collaborated on "Lola Versus," "Generation Um...," "The Normals" and "Another Earth," take composing duties here and deliver something a bit unexpected for "I Origins." So turn up your speakers and read on... "No Time Like The Present" is a surprisingly propulsive and compelling track, that moves steadily in its brisk running time, never losing momentum, but also creating an undercurrent of undeniable atmosphere. And that seems to strike the right tone for "I Origins" which follows a molecular biologist, who makes a discovery that could change everything we know about society and humanity. It's another nice piece of work from a...

Keanu Reeves's Career Continues to Stammer in "Generation Um..."

Remember Keanu Reeves? He used to be a popular actor who made his name in basically every film genre. From the Bill and Ted movies to Speed to The Matrix, the man was certainly a bankable film star. Unfortunately, in the last decade or so, he has experienced something of a decline in the quality of his roles. The worst came in 2008 with the dismal The Day the Earth Stood Still remake. Mr. Reeves had made a career relying on his wooden persona but this was just the worst. Similar criticism can be said for Generation Um..., an independent cinematic mess and his latest debacle now out in a limited theatrical release and on Video on demand (VOD).

Keanu Reeves and Adelaide Clemens Talk Generation Um…, Exploring Their Characters During Rehersal, Reeves’ Man Of Tai Chi, and More

Set in present-day downtown New York City, the indie drama Generation Um... follows John (Keanu Reeves), the quiet and withdrawn driver for an escort service that includes Violet (Bojana Novakovic) and Mia (Adelaide Clemens), two women who are as manipulative as they are beautiful. When John impulsively steals a camcorder, he decides to use it to explore their deepest secrets, pushing their friendship to the limit. At the film’s press day, co-stars Keanu Reeves and Adelaide Clemens spoke to Collider for this exclusive interview about what drew them to Generation Um..., exploring their characters’ backstories during the rehearsal period, whether they worried about making their characters likeable, shooting the fun and playful moments that take place during the credits, and what Mark L. Mann was like, as a director on his first narrative feature. Keanu Reeves also talked about why now was the right time to make his directorial debut,

Exclusive: Keanu Reeves and a chick in her underwear in this red-band clip from Generation Um...

  • JoBlo
I've always been a fan of Keanu Reeves. From his days as Ted "Theodore" Logan in Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure to Jack Travern in Speed to Neo in The Matrix and as the titular Constantine, he's always dabbled in the big studio pool without ever fully diving in, allowing himself the freedom to play in a lot of other ponds. Such is the case with his latest indie pic, Generation Um..., which finds the actor back in "whoa" mode,...

Exclusive: Keanu Reeves Talks Generation Um...
Keanu Reeves and director Mark Mann talk Generation Um..., in theaters this Friday

Generation Um..., now available on VOD, opens in select theaters this Friday, May 3rd. If you haven't heard of the film, you may still be very familiar with one of the scenes in it. Paparazzi spotted star Keanu Reeves on the set, sitting on a bench, alone, eating a cupcake. And the following photographs helped push the 'Sad Keanu' meme into the stratosphere. Taken out of context, those cupcake pictures certainly took on a life of their own.

The scene is still included in Generation Um..., though it's pre-screen history may be a little distracting. Keanu plays John, the driver of two private escorts, and it might as well be called 'Sad Keanu: The Movie' as we watch the actor eat alone at various locations throughout New York City. The story revolves around the act of stealing a camera,

Review: Generation Um...

  • JoBlo
Plot: Three people talk to each other, wander around New York City and attempt to understand something about themselves during the course of a couple of days. Review: This is less a review than a warning. Generation Um..., is an intolerable, droning, shapeless mess of a movie. In fact, it’s so poorly conceived that calling it a movie is almost inaccurate. It’s like a documentary about people you’d never in a million years care to learn about, edited with zero...

Bojana Novakovic upsets a wine store clerk in our exclusive clip for Generation Um..., which stars the actress as Violet, a call girl readying herself for another night of work. Keanu Reeves takes the lead as John in this generational drama with comedic overtones, playing the driver of Bojana Novakovic's Violet and her co-worker and best friend Mia (Adelaide Clemens). What should be another routine night of servicing men for money soon turns into an introspective look at life after John steals a video camera as a birthday present to himself, and uses it to document the events leading up to another in a long line of meaningless bachelor parties. Watch as Violet snubs an old friend in her dazed attempt to stay numb throughout her afternoon with John and his camera.

Keanu Goes To "Mars" With Steven Seagal, Or Something: That's A Wrap!

Keanu Goes To
By Amelia Mularz

Grab your Beanie Babies and throw on a scrunchie, everything about this week seemed obsessively stuck in a bygone era. Steven Seagal made the news, Alex Winter and Keeanu Reeves (yes, Bill & Ted) both resurfaced, and we discovered that fans want to resurrect a past TV show (in movie form) so badly that they'll pay millions for it. Literally. Ah, the good old days...

» Yep, it turns out the best way to make a movie these days is to hold an old fashioned fundraiser. When Rob Thomas, creator of cult classic "Veronica Mars," told fans they'd get a movie version of their beloved TV show if they could raise $2 million in a month, fans dug deep into their pockets. They hit their mark before the day ended and as of yesterday, the total has reached over $3 million. Now the wheels are spinning in every Hollywood bigwig's brain.

Um, The Trailer for Generation Um... Starring Keanu Reeves is Online

"Is that a camera?"

Keanu Reeves' last big studio release was 2008's The Day the Earth Stood Still, with the actor preferring to keep to his roots and act in smaller, indie movies in the interim. Of course, there's also the upcoming samurai movie 47 Ronin which was originally supposed to come out last year but has been delayed not once, but twice. Fear not, however, Reeves' fans, as the actor has another indie drama arriving with Generation Um..., whose first trailer has arrived online.

As Reeves himself explains in his introduction to the trailer, Generation Um... follows the lives of three New York City friends (Reeves, Silent Hill: Revelation's Adelaide Clemens and Devil's Bojana Novakovic) during a 24-hour period and, apparently, things get intense after Reeves steals a camera and starts recording their conversations.

Watch: Trailer For Keanu Reeves Starring Indie Drama 'Generation Um..."

Sitting on a shelf for a long, long time (it shot about two years ago, with the first images arriving in 2011), the Keanu Reeves starring indie "Generation Um..." is finally making its way to theaters this spring. And this first trailer is here, and if you've ever wanted to see a movie where Reeves steals a video camera to like, shoot his own life woah, then this is for you. Written and directed by Mark Mann, the film follows the aimless John, who spends some time with two lovely ladies, Violet (Bojana Novakovic) and Mia (Adelaide Clemens) as they figure out their lives or whatever. The whole thing gives off the faint stink of Slacker Wisdom without really feeling earned at all. And we'll let YouTube user mrrap4food sum it up best: "...this is what neos life woulda been if he had of took that other pill." Word. "Generation Um...

Keanu's 'Generation Um...' Trailer Is Here, Um...

It's been almost four years since Keanu Reeves last appeared in a movie (trivia answer: the indie "Henry's Crime"), but if you've been wondering what Reeves has been up to, wonder no more. Because based on the new Apple Trailers debut for "Generation Um...," it appears he's been time traveling back to the 90's.

And not the good '90s of "The Matrix." The bad '90s of "Johnny Mnemonic."

Here's the scoop: Reeves plays an aging guy — hard to believe, but the dude is turning 49 this year! — who has never matured past his mid-20s heyday. As a result, he still hangs out with much younger women (Bojana Novakovic and Adelaide Clemens) and basically does nothing with his life except steal a gigantic video camera some retro hipster must have inherited from his grandpa. Then he uses the camera to film the trio slumming around the city being as louche and annoying as possible.

Generation Um... Trailer: Keanu Has a Camera

Generation Um... Trailer: Keanu Has a Camera
Having Keanu Reeves introduce a trailer isn't an everyday occurrence, but Generation Um… is an indie flick that might only have Keanu Reeves going for it. The film looks gritty and/or completely disjointed, like Rent without the singing, maybe. Keanu operates a camera and quizzes his younger lady companions about their sex lives. He gets a cupcake-eating close-up. He drives a shabby brown automobile. That's about all we can tell. (THR has a little color to add, saying Generation Um... "follows a single night in the lives of three party-hopping friends in New York City as they document their sexual escapades and test the boundaries of their relationship.") Mark Mann's feature debut will hit VOD on April 26 and has a limited theatrical release beginning May 3.
