Storyline

A group of friends stop to pick up a hitchhiking woman only to end up getting drugged by her with a gas. They awaken to find that vials have been implanted in the base of their skulls - which are of course instantly fatal if they are removed, a grinning professional looking woman informs them on TV screens that they have 22hrs to fill these vials with a specific amount of brain fluid, a fluid that is produced during times of extreme pain. Along with another group of unlucky test subjects and with time ticking away they decide to work together and share the burden of reaching their painful target. Written by emma10001

Trivia

The chemicals being collected, Adrenaline, Dopamine, and Oxytocin, are released when the body is in extreme pain. But like Sam suggested, they're also released during sex. So instead of torturing themselves, the members of the group could've just had sex with each other to fill up the vials. See more »

An Honest Review
14 November 2012 | by natmcknSee all my reviews

I watched this movie without first consulting IMDb (as I usually do) and had a completely open mind. I must say, I'm quite shocked at all of the negative reviews and ratings on here. What I watched was a well-crafted, intriguing, and genuinely entertaining indie "horror" flick. The actors kept my attention without straying into too much cheesiness, which is not unexpected for an independent feature, and carried the film diligently on their shoulders. The gore usage was not as liberal as you would think, and was used tastefully to further the story. And furthermore, I was never bored at any time during the film. It stayed interesting until the very last minute. So, give this movie a chance. If you like this particular niche of the art of film, I believe you'll enjoy it.
