Trivia

Fargo gives the order to fire the FTL with the one-word command, "Engage." The line, its delivery, and the physical gesture he makes are an unmistakable impersonation of Patrick Stewart's Captain Jean Luc Picard in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987). See more »

Goofs

When they show a zoomed-in view of the Control Panel from the rocket (24 minutes in when the Oxygen light is beeping in the ACP131 Code), the top right option says "HEAT SHELDING". See more »

Liftoff for Fun
28 May 2018 | by GunnersMateSee all my reviews

LIftoff is a solid and enjoyable offering from Eureka, and a terrific return from the midseason break. While very much connected to episodes that came before it, it is happily void of a screaming season-arc plotline elements (until the very end) which is refreshing. Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy the story without feeling like we are being dragged to the next major dramatic event. This episode is a wonderful showcase for Fargo and Zane and while there is a larger than normal requirement for the suspension of disbelief (which is a challenge for this show), it is a fun, exciting, and very funny ride.
