Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • This is a pretty violent movie, and is about as violent as the "John Wick" series.
  • Violent fight sequences with knives, swords and various other melee weapons involving many people. Scenes are infrequent.
  • A couple of characters are shot; one is shot onscreen, and the other is shot offscreen with a bit of blood splattering on the shooter's face.
  • Characters go around machine gunning groups of people. Not graphic.
  • A character shoots and kills a lot of people in very few minutes.
  • One antagonist is seemingly invincible, having lived through several fights and being stabbed a few times. He is finished by having his neck broken. This is not explicitely shown.

  • Fairly frequent, but not pervasive, usage of various derogatory terms.
  • At least 15-20 uses of "fuck," most of which are in the first hour or so. Some uses are subtitled. 2 muffled/obscured uses of "motherfucker." 13 uses of "shit," and several uses each of "asshole", "bitch", "damn", "goddamn," "Jesus," "for Christ's Sake', and "bastard." Much of the strongest profanity is used in the first half of the film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Frequent drug references and infrequent usage.
  • Two main characters are addicted to a fictional drug known as Kronole, and frequently sniff it. It's appearance is similar to clay blocks.
  • During a nightclub sequence there are shots of various people that appear to be high from the drug.
  • A teen girl steals a bottle of champagne from people in a nightclub, gets drunk and passes out.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire film is rather intense and depressing. Many scenes go from quiet to loud very quickly, giving a sense of claustrophobia.
  • The fight sequences, although not very graphic or bloody, are still intense.
  • A teacher educates a group of schoolchildren with frightening propaganda, such as songs about how people will freeze and die on the train if the engine stops. This might unsettle some viewers.
  • The climax spits out several plot twists all of which are unsettling and disturbing and the ending is just as thought provoking..
