MPAA Rated R for language and brief violence

Sex & Nudity

  • A man is shown in a bathtub on multiple occasions. Nothing but his upper body, and legs below the knees are shown.
  • A man baths an unconscious woman. Nudity is understood, but not shown. There is no sexuality portrayed, or intended by the characters.
  • A woman asks a man about having bathed her while she was unconscious.
  • A man is bathing. A girl of perhaps 10 and a boy of perhaps 8 rush into the room and climb into the tub with the man. Since the water is covering both of them, no nudity is visible but it is obvious that all three of them are naked. The man feels uncomfortable. The the man asks them to get out (concerned about how it would be perceived, and uncomfortable with the situation). The children declined, and begin talking casually with the man. Aside from his concerns there is nothing remotely sexual or sexualized about the scene.
  • A shirtless man is shown shaving, while two children bath in the background.

Violence & Gore

  • Several wild animals are shot by a hunter. Some on-screen gutting, organs of the animals are shown.
  • A man steps into a game trap. Some blood.
  • A man is shot in the chest, some blood is shown.
  • A man falls over a short cliff, perhaps breaking his leg. Some blood is shown on his face.
  • A carcass of a slain animal is seen onscreen.


  • 8 uses of the f-word, some by the young girl, and others at various times throughout the film. Said in a thick Australian accent, mostly mild.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man walks into a bar and orders a beer. He drinks it.
  • A few people smoke marijuana. It is offered to another man, who declines.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is intense, mysterious, and mature. There is a very intense action scene near the climax of the film.
