Life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined. The choice is hers if she can go on.
Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were 5, so they couldn't possibly be right for one another...or could they? When it comes to love, life and making the right choices, these two are their own worst enemies.
When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful, self-effacing Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family. But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark, haunting, terrifying secret that set her on a shattering journey across the country to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo's empathetic, stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true ...Written by

Life is unpredictable and then life will turn upside down when you meet you the right person and will feel like staying in safe haven with the person closest to you. Safe Haven is romantic–drama that has strong performances with a sudden twist in the end which will keep you entertained till the end
The Story Katie escapes from shrewd , short-tempered husband only to land in a gorgeous town Southport, North Carolina surrounded by beautiful locales and serenity. She meets a widower Josh and falls in love with him. Things turns ugly when her husband comes back.
From the director of Hachi , Salmon Fishing in Yemen , Safe Haven is refreshing romantic drama based on Nicholas Spark's novel of same name. The story is very good with very good twist in the end which will completely take you by surprise. Couple of scenes do stand out from the film – the scene between Katie and Josh on the row boat , the climax scene , coupled with soothing background score definitely makes the film worth watching . Screenplay is decent. Editing could have been better. Cinematography is splendid grabbing the exotic location of Southport. Performances by Julianne Hough, David Lyons, Josh Duhamel is good with Julianne stealing the limelight.
Overall , if you are longing for some good romantic flick, Safe Haven is the place for you. Good 3/5
