A young aspiring writer, Calvin, has imprisoned himself in his bedroom and is suffering from writer's block and procrastination. This is due to his being allured by the distractions of the "outside world." The dilemma is that he has promised himself not to leave the confines of his room until his story is complete. Meanwhile, inside the writer's brain, there is an athlete that is being attacked by evil anthropomorphic ropes. His struggle is to get back to his treadmill; which fuels the writer's ideas. The two characters must undergo these series of challenges in order to overcome the knots of primal desires, those of the id, so that they can finish the story that Calvin started.
