Deja Vu !!!

This reminds me of a 2017 movie titled "Before I Fall"

Miyu Mizuno & Shuya Shinohara are school friends, yet they have dated & yes, they are very nice couple. Shuya really love her so much. One day, Miyu woke up in the morning & realized she stuck reliving her last day over & over. She had only one day to change absolutely everything to avoid the final accident that will befall her lover. I don't want to spoiler the story, you guys better watch it yourself...

Awesome performances by Riko Fukumoto, though it was a predictable ending scenes. Just like an ordinary Japan Teenage Drama, easy & fun to watch...

Not really similar, but if you've watched "Before I Fall", you will know what i mean....

Light Weight and Drippy.

This is a tale of high school romances which focuses on a girl stuck in a same rainy-day time-loop featuring an abundance of precipitation, a petite clock "tower" that is repeatedly victimized by lightening strikes, and a hit and run truck driver who keeps targeting the girl's boy friend at night and, of course, in the rain. You likely have seen most/all of this movie before. Think GROUND HOG DAY(1993) meets BACK TO THE FUTURE (1985) and typical chick flick plotting plus a plethora of well known Japanese movie staging and settings. High schoolers are played by lead actors who appear to have left their own high school days far behind. Direction suffers from a lack of originality and energy. It also fails to elicit much in the way of chemistry between players or empathy between on-screen characters and viewers. The film is way too long and the screen play is end-to-end dull, sophomoric, and, well, drippy. Lead actress is burdened with dialog often consisting of variations on "eh?"; other actors don't have much to work with either. Lines in the closing scenes (which can't come soon enough!) consist of well worn platitudes and less than insightful (or original) observations on - wait for it - the purpose and meaning of life (as we think we know it). The hit and run events are critical to the story line, but these scenes are never shown on camera (a victim of a tight budget?). Cinematography is workman like and generic; it lacks creativity. Lighting is fine. Special effects (lightening flashes and strikes, blue skies, etc.) are okay. Subtitles are close enough. Closing credit music is a bit jarring and seems out of place. Pretty much an all-wet film. Not recommended except for countering insomnia. Viewed at a JICC virtual J-film event. WILLIAM FLANIGAN.

I never leave movie reviews but I have to leave a review.

I didn't have any expectations for this movie even when I heard some saying from the people who around me.

But I realized they said such a true, I finally believe them.

What happens is a Groundhog Day-like premise in which Miyu wakes up on November 1 again, and she's made to repeat the day's events. She decides that she would do what it takes to save Shuya, and in the process, she figures out her feelings for him.

Matsuda Genta's character Shuya may be part of the loop, but his character, to my pleasant surprise, underwent a bit of development as well (albeit in Miyu's dream). Genta brings so much boyish charm to Shuya, matching Riko's energy when needed.

So I mean I hope I can watch this again.

I like the progressing character development the formerly-unlikeable main character goes through. But the ending was so disappointing and mendadak/sudden. I'm also quite disappointed that the repeat days which she went through were all fake, dreams! It only convoluted the plot even more, because it felt as if to serve her character development but no impact on the present storyline. Other than that, I suppose their growth as a couple (albeit in the false returns to time) was cute and heartwarming.

A cliche but fun movie. A movie that won't waste time. A couple would be very satisfied with this movie. Especially, I think it is a movie that women will like. We need a movie like this. A very cute and lovely fantasy romance movie.

The main female lead comes across as fairly unlikable at first and the male lead was pretty much a nonentity. The story and characters get better as the film goes by and let's face it, I'm a sucker for this kind of film.

A movie that won't waste time. A couple would be very satisfied with this movie. Especially, I think it is a movie that women will like. We need a movie like this. A very cute and lovely fantasy romance movie.

It was a good movie to watch at the end of the year. You won't regret watching this movie. I like this movie. It was very cute and lovely. I really expect others to like it. There's a bit of cliché, but even that part is lovely.

The movie wasn't original by any means but it's the first Japanese movie where no one dies, no diseases, no shocking news.. I'm almost in tears because of it!

The film, based on the original novel, features two very lovely couples. The two like each other, but they don't seem to have spoken their true feelings. Then, although it is not trivial, a man gets into an accident while a fight is taking place due to an incident. And the woman lives the same day over and over again to save the man. Even the ending is a very lovely movie. I want everyone to see this movie.

I will recommend a movie to my friends and others. The story of the movie is perfect, even music is good!

I'm almost in tears because of it!

Pure romance makes my heart flutter!!!!!!!

I love time loop genre movies.

It's a time loop romance movie like 'About Time'.

But It's cuter than the movie!!!!!

It looks like a light teen romance,

but the fantasy is added to make it immersive.

The female lead's performance is very impressive!!!!!!!!

The sub characters are also very cute

this is a romance movie that reminds you of your first love!!!!!!

The ending is a bit disappointing.........

However, the atmosphere of the film offsets the disappointment!!

I think it's better to see it with someone you love!!!!!!!

Recommended if you are looking for a date movie!!!

Nice movie I am fully enjoy watching this movie is over all good story Japanese movie is so good and remind our school days this is my first response and I'm so excited for my review The story of this film is very good and I remember my old days after watching it because in some school memories.

I like Japanese movies very much because the storyline in them is perfect and the acting is also very good for the actors.

It's interesting to see how Miyu has a better understanding of her relationship with Shuya -- and the people around them -- as she deals with the same situations in different ways.

When the credits roll your just left with a sinking feeling you were the one conned. No idea how its got a high rating, probably due to all the dreck thats been released this seasons.

Their story touches my heart It's so much fun! A movie recommended to many people!. If there is a movie to watch this year, I should watch this movie. It certainly won't be a waste of time.

If you are looking for a fantasy movie, you should watch this movie.

What I thought to simply be your same old, formulaic shoujo film turns out to be Japan's latest attempt at executing a Groundhog Day-esque story. But what makes this film even more interesting in the end does not stop here. Forget what you know about most shoujo films; at least those that came out in the past decade, because this film really tries to be different, and it works for the most part. And then there is a twist near the end.

It could have been longer, but for now, consider myself impressed by how this film turned out. Not bad.

It was a good movie to watch at the end of the year. You won't regret watching this movie. I like this movie. It was very cute and lovely. I really expect others to like it. There's a bit of cliché, but even that part is lovely.

I'm willing to see it again in the theater.

Loved it so much!!!! Rikogen!!!!!! Anyways it really does resemble summer daze ifykyk but quite relieved of the ending tbh, and as chaka said, "this is youth" It was a good movie to watch at the end of the year. You won't regret watching this movie. I like this movie. It was very cute and lovely. I really expect others to like it. There's a bit of cliché, but even that part is lovely.

The advantage of the movie is that the main characters are so cute and lovely. Because the cute stories of high school students bring happiness to the viewers. Miyu and Shuhua's sad story is touching. And it's never easy to repeat life for your boyfriend and it's so touching to do it.

And Shuhua's increasingly revealed secret was surprising because there was quite a twist. I hope a lot of people watch it. It seems to be a stable movie that doesn't stress everyone.

It would be a great movie to watch with friends, family, and lovers on a special day as a romantic movie. A romantic movie that brings happiness to many people!

One day shuya cancels their date and Miyu gets suspicious because shuya is acting weird. He seems like he is hiding something She panics but when she wakes up she finds herself on the morning of the accident.

It is very romantic to see you repeat your life to save your boyfriend. It is a beautiful movie that reminds you of various movies. I highly recommend this movie to couples. School romance is the best!

It would be better if it was a special day like Valentine's Day.

The story of the movie is interesting and the song is good. If you are looking for a fantasy movie, you should watch this movie.

This movie made me cry.

The beautiful background and the video keep my eyes on me.

It was so beautiful to see the heroine constantly traveling in time to save her boyfriend.

The unique sensibility of Japanese movies was expressed so well.

The female lead is likely to rise higher than now. He is a charming actor. I'm looking forward to the future.

I'm so happy to see a real romance after a long time.

I highly recommend it to those who are looking for an exciting emotional romance.

I heard that there is a best-selling original novel, and I am curious about the contents of the novel.

Not a movie with a lot of depth in it, but worth the watch when you have nothing to do and have an itch for a sweet thing to watch.

Albeit the movie's pacing being so slow (hence why I watched it in 2x), it really pulls at your heart strings from time to time. The protagonists' character grows as it goes by.

I was somewhat suprised with the end- the big "plot twist"- it wasn't completely unpredictable, but perfect for a mindless watch.

This is off-topic, but I was actually looking for another movie... I just came across this one... did I think this film is a masterpiece? No. Do I wish I had watched the other one instead? Not really, no.

I was blown away by this movie.

It tears me totally.

All they main casts performed very well, fantastic.

I heard this movie will be released in Korea soon, Can't wait for that!

You should go to watch this movie, I bet it will be on your list as soon as you watched it.

First of all, ensemble was very good.

Second of all, I reminded some good my memory of my youth with love.

Last one, it was so sad but ended up being happy.

Mood, Music, Lines, Characters, and All their performances are great job indeed, so I want to recommend it to all.

The Blue Skies at Your Feet

I like those distinctive emotions in Japanese films.

It's true we've forgotten those feelings these days.

A wonderful mix of the first flush of love, great fondness, and heartbreaking sorrow.

"Timeslip" is always interesting material in creation, but It seems to have Japanese works enriched this material the most. "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" is also one of the most memorable masterpieces.

It stands out in poetic and touching dialogue as much as a title.

It's not as predictable as you think. And It's worth watching.

Highly recommend watching it in theaters.

Genta Matsuda & Mizuki Itagaki in one picture!! God is good... always!!!

Anyway, the plot was so interesting and they could have done a lot with it, but it just wasn't executed well. I only kept watching it because of them tbh.

. Still, love the concept this film offers, It's just a beautiful Japanese film that I could pretty much watch on repeat (again, just for them only).

How do I get hit by a car to look like a hero in this movie?

If you've seen Loop before, it's like that. It's a usual thing, at the same time, It's not bad to throw away and moreover get to be fun. It worth to watch fully in the theater.

Thanks to the 28 baht pro, I thought I'd never see Riko-chan. The movie was a little ordinary, but the romance was good. Just Madri-ko-chan was so heartbroken, and was upset with Subthai enough to see the translator's name, so I wasn't surprised.

He was so annoyed with the crowd that he stayed in the same neighborhood that he had to get up and change his uninvited seat away from the group, lost his temper and concentration, and left the group, but the movie was not over.

But anyway, I had a good time during entire running time. It is a good to play and watch it. I definitely am going to recommend this movie.
