Storyline

Romantic relationships are in flux. Zoe is home for a visit and hints at a new heartthrob. Henry is courting his wife while Dr. Grant and Carter spar over Allison. Jo, on the other hand, is done with love for now and just wants to get her house rebuilt. But that project is on hold because hunky paleo-anthropologist Dr. Derek Thurgood says he found ancient human remains at the site and refuses to allow the build to continue. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

The song Henry sings to Grace is "She Blinded Me With Science," by one hit wonder Thomas Dolby. Joe Morton (Henry) actually sings the song in the show, though he is lightly auto-tuned as the song gets a bit high. See more »

Goofs

Several characters make reference to the discovered finger bone, mistakenly calling it a "phalangey". The plural of finger bones is indeed "phalanges" but the singular form of the word is "phalanx". See more »

Adult Zoe and Maturing Jack
27 May 2018 | by GunnersMateSee all my reviews

Stoned has a crisis of the week that takes its time to develop - which is quite lovely. The episode's primary focus seems to be a more adult college student Zoe's visit home, Jack coming to terms with his years of inaction on the romance front, and Henry trying to find a way to romance his wife that is different from the actions of the original Henry from this time line. It all blends together well and we get to see Zoe really participate in the crisis resolution. As a side, Grant (and two of his fellow time travelers) are surprised with a new concern, so it appears that there may be more to be explored there. On the down side, the chemistry that made the first couple of seasons of Eureka so amazing is not there, and it is really missed. But there is hope on the horizon, the mid-season finale isn't too far away and with Erureka's history of reshuffling at the midseason and rebooting at the season end, there is always change around the corner. Only time can tell if it is for the better or worse.
