Did You Know?

When Dr. Grant is first in the diner with Adam Barlowe he is seen smoking, and offering to Adam, filtered cigarettes. We are shown that the year is 1947 but filtered cigarettes were not introduced in the U.S. until 1952 when Kent introduced the "Micronite" filter that, oddly, was touted for its health benefits; but was actually made of asbestos. And they were not readily available until Winston filter cigarettes were introduced in 1954. See more »

Could Have Been Perfect
27 May 2018 | by GunnersMateSee all my reviews

I'll Be Seeing You had all the potential in the world to be a perfect episode of Eureka. Jack and Allison are basking in the relationship aftermath of the honesty from the Ex-Files episode, Grant is teamed up with an old face and is acting with complicated intentions, and there is a big emergency at Global requiring all hands on deck. The time travel that started the season takes takes front and center in the plot line and there's is a mid-season handling of the season's story arc. The story moves quickly, has some effective emotional shock points, and demands that the viewer pay attention. Good sci-fi, good story, seemingly satisfying resolution...but then the writers take us down a path that tries really hard to negate everything we just experienced, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of viewers everywhere. Was loving the ride, but the destination made me regret the trip. Too bad, it could have been perfect.
