PENDULUM SWINGS follows a man into a dark place in his life - a place at which he arrives through a combination of bad decisions and forces beyond his control. When he finally hits bottom, he is presented with an opportunity to climb out of his despair with a helping hand from a small number of people who could have chosen to judge him or write him off, but choose instead to offer compassion and grace.Written by
There are may things I like about this movie. The first being, it was dramatic without using profanity, or sexual innuendo every five minutes. Second, it's set in modern day so you can relate to the events and struggles of the characters. Third, the outcome was unexpected; a welcomed change from the movies I've seen before. I hate movies that use the same old tired formulas. Where you know whats going to happen before it does. The acting was great. I was really drawn into the story. There were funny parts, sad parts, dramatic, "on the edge of my seat" parts, I really enjoyed it. And the fact that it was made by volunteers with no budget makes me a witness to a true miracle of a movie.
