Plot Summary

The storyline is a thought-provoking drama of two lost and troubled individuals who are forever entwined after a traumatic event occurs. Janis, a twenty-year-old woman who is struggling with depression, takes the blame for Peter, who works as a social worker hiding a troubled past. This film will explore different sides of human nature and what paranoia, suspicion, and especially the weight of guilt and its consequences. The story explores the idea of soul-searching and shows the power of true redemption. This film has elements of surrealism, with a shocking and thrilling storyline. The weight of guilt can eat away at an individual, and this is just what happens to Peter Ackerman. The title of this film pays homage to Dostoevsky's 'Crime & Punishment' and some of the plot line follows with that classic novel. Written by Spencer T. Folmar
