Sex & Nudity

  • Teenage boy & girl get naked and are shown going down a waterslide. Breasts are very briefly shown for the girl and buttocks for the boy as he is sliding down on his stomach. (It's worth noting that the "teenage" male was played by a 24 year old actor.)
  • A teenaged boy attempts to make love to a teenaged girl, unbuttoning her blouse to reveal her bra, despite her saying no. He has pulled his shorts partially down and we see his bare backside.
  • A woman speaks of being raped by her boyfriend on their second date.
  • A teenage girl regularly sits with her legs splayed well apart exposing her underwear, despite her mother regularly reminding her to close her legs or "put that thing away".
  • A lady tells a friend over the phone that she had too much self-respect to have sex with him on the first date.
  • A teenage girl enters into a marriage with a lesbian adult.
  • A married politician indulges in extra-marital affairs. He is caught on one occasion and he and his partner scramble to adjust their clothing - no nudity shown. He explains that he was helping her widen her access road.
  • A group of teenage girls and women all claim to be menstruating while visiting an obsessively clean household. Several bloodstains are seen on the white furniture.

Violence & Gore

  • A teenage girl pushes her little sister off her chair at the dining table and she falls to the floor.
  • A cattle prod is used more than once to stun characters, once making contact between the legs.
  • A man aims a rifle at a woman while she encourages him to fire.
  • Knives and pistols are both used in a threatening manner. A character claims that she sliced her husband's face from his eyebrow to his mouth.

Profanity

  • Strong Coarse Language. C*nt & F*ck are used several times throughout the film, mostly for humorous effect.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character is seen smoking a bong.
  • The issue of legal prescription drugs for children suffering from mental illness is touched on. A diagnosed teenaged schizophrenic is on medication and claims that she is happy now that her illness is under control.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Probable North Sea ratings (NOR/SWE/DEN/GER/NED): 6/7 to 11/12.
  • A 13yo girl attempts suicide (unsuccessfully).
  • The state of every one in the movie is very intense.
  • I would say this movie would be rated R by the MPAA it might be a strong PG-13 mostly because of the behaviors of the characters and the strong profanity.
