    A short masterpiece
Sometimes, not very often, you find a film that just captures your heart. Walter G. Puls, who I never heard of before, is the writer and director for this short film from 1968. I wonder if this is his only work. I would love to see more of his work if there is more. I found the film as a capture from an ARTE TV channel showing. The film reminds me of Le ballon rouge (1956)by Albert Lamorisse, another absolute favorite of mine. It is about a young boys love for football, about not belonging, about tragedy and finally about dreams and hope all in 11 minutes. It does not matter if you are colorblind, the film is in black and white. You do not need to know German, no words are spoken.
