    Storyline

    Edit
When Annie decides to stage a production at a local middle school to spread an important message about staying away from drugs, Pierce becomes overwhelmed with the excitement of performing and decides he needs a bigger role. When his over-the-top behavior threatens to ruin the production, Senor Chang comes to the rescue, earning admiration from the group. —NBC Publicity

    Did you know

    Edit
    • Trivia
On the commentary track for this episode Chevy Chase reveals two things about the character of Pierce:

Pierce miss-pronounces Abed's name wrong so that it phonetically resembles "Arab" which Chase says was his own choice and credits it to Pierce's integrated racism. Chase himself pronounces the name correctly on all commentaries.

Pierce's glasses change to match the color of his outfit in the episode. This is a nod from the costume department to Pierce's fortune, and none of the other actors or writers present on the track was aware of this until he pointed it out.
    • Goofs
The store announcer that awakens Annie during the end credit scene states that it is 2am. But Annie's bedside clock clearly reads 1:20.
    • Quotes

Señor Chang: Greetings you little snots!

      Molly: You're not Drugs.

Señor Chang: Oh but I AM. Disappointed? Did you expect me to stay the same forever? Because that's not what Drugs does baby! I'm gonna deep fry your dog and eat your momma's face. And I'm going to wear your little brother's skin like pajamas! I control your lives, and there's nothing you can do.

      Paul: Let's kill him.

Señor Chang: Oh! Bring it on Bow-Wow!

Not sure why this episode is the poster child
This episode is ok with it's format and there's funny moments but the situation with Britta turns out really weird and the whole thing with Pierce and Annie is questionable. However, it's got a few good moments but this is easily a forgettable episode. 6 stars. Had it not been for the fact that screenshots of this episode are posted all over streaming sites where I assumed this might have been filled with pivotal moments, which is not the case.
