- Joe does a favor for Manfro that could have a lasting effect. Terry struggles to deal with the latest development in his love life. And Owen tries to keep things on the lot from getting out of control as a feud develops between his top salesmen.—TNT Publicity
- Open with Joe working with golf coach Roy. Joe's swing seems to be in terrible shape.
Owen arrives at work to find Scarpula waiting on him. Scarpula says he can come up "a bit" on the offer but Owen still isn't interested. He says he's going to take the dealership "to the next level." On his way of the lot Scarpula's mentions to one of Owen's salesmen, Marcus, that he should come work for him if want a real job.
Terry is woken up by another of Owen's salesmen, Lawrence, checking on him since he's an hour late for work. Terry is clearly still in a funk since the Erin break-up.
Joe shows up at the store and gets a call from Sonia. Albert and his band are working hard for a show and she needs him to come pick up the guys to set up at school. Joe is not happy with his manager.
As Terry finally shows up at work he walks past Marcus making a sale. This ties him with Terry atop the board of Owen's sales staff. Marcus makes a few cracks about Terry's age and it's clear the two aren't getting along. A couple walks in and Terry introduces himself. Despite the fact they previously dealt with Marcus and are there to formerly close the deal Terry takes them to his desk and start the paperwork.
Joe pays a visit to Manfro. Manfro is dealing with the chemo sickness. Joe confesses he's been having a lot of bad days with the golf clubs and is worried about his dream of the senior tour. Manfro has maintained his relationship with the stripper.
Marcus pulls Terry aside as he is finishing up the paperwork. They begin to argue about him taking away a sale in a situation when he's already qualified a potential customer. Terry is upset that Marcus' desk sits by the door and Marcus points out the advantage Terry has of being buddies with Owen. While they argue the customer sits there. Owen splits the sale between the two of them and proposes to rotate the desks. Neither of them likes the decision.
The three guys sit at the diner. Joe talks about getting too old to sit on his wallet. They talk about Terry's upcoming 50th birthday and Terry seems pretty grumpy about any potential plans. Owen makes a few cracks about Terry's recent attitude. Owen asks Terry to pick up a part. Terry hates the idea.
Joe shows up to pick up Albert and his band. Joe's worried the show could set Albert back with his anxiety. Sonia thinks talking him out of performing would be worse.
The show starts. Both Joe and Sonia are nervous. Albert's band takes the stage but Albert is nowhere to be found for several agonizing seconds. Eventual he steps to the mic and the band begins to play.
Terry shows up with the parts and Marcus makes a few cracks. He sees that while he was gone Marcus made another sale and took the lead.
Albert's band does a great job by the show's standards. Albert gets into the song and takes off his shirt. Joe winces but the crowd seems to love it. Afterwards Albert and his band mates are fired-up with how they did. Albert says he thought about not going up there and Joe said "you kicked your anxiety in the balls today." Albert says he used Joe's mind's eye visualization method.
Terry stews at his desk. Owen tells him to take the rest of the day off. Terry ends up at the diner, plowing through several pieces of pie. He and the waitress talk about meeting up after her shift.
Cut to Terry and the waitress outside his apartment making out. They open the door to find a huge surprised birthday party waiting for him. Melissa thinks the waitress must be Erin, saying "I've heard so much about you." Lawrence also makes a reference to Erin and the waitress sneaks out. It turns out the parts run was just to keep Terry occupied so they could set-up for the party. An old friend brings Terry a joint. He says he's been off drugs for 20 weeks but eventually sticks the joint in his pocket. The party tries to talk Terry into a speech but he angrily says he won't speak and sneaks off. Manfro calls Joe and asks him to pick up a payment the following day. We see Terry fire-up the joint in the bathroom. Afterwards he hits it off with the young caterer as his friends watch.
Lying in bed Melissa mentions to Owen that Terry needs to grow up. He never thanked Owen and Joe for putting. She thinks that when you deny your age for so long it ends up hitting you hard.
Joe has yet another rough session with Roy. Roy begins to talk about Joe finding another coach until he gets a call. In his absence Joe takes a few more bad swing and ends up throwing his club down the range in anger.
Terry and the 20-something caterer are woken up the next morning in bed by her roommate. He looks to be in rough shape and the roommate seems grossed out by Terry's age.
Picking up the money for Manfro is no problem, but while Joe is there the guy asks if he can put another bet down. Joe seems unsure about it but agrees to place the bet for the guy with Manfro.
A terrible-looking Terry arrives late for a sales associate meeting.
Joe drops off the money to Manfro. Manfro says he's too sick to take any action, but Joe looks like he's considering taking it himself.
One of Owen's salesman shows a couple a car but finds Terry sleeping inside the vehicle. Owen watches the associate berate Terry and tells Lawrence to tell Terry he's done selling cars for that day. He wants him to move the new corvette into the showroom.
Joe goes to see the guy show asked about the bet and confirms the bet. Joe will be taking the action himself.
Terry backs the corvette into the showroom. He watches in his rearview mirror as Marcus speaks to some customers. Terry backs the car into Marcus just enough to knock him over. Marcus is furious and punches Terry in the fact several times. He yells to Owen that this is the last straw and he is quitting.
Sitting in Owen's office Terry finally fesses up that Erin dumped him. He's not sure why, but the break-up is really bothering him. He thinks he should save Owen the problem of quitting and offers to resign. A dead-serious Owen says that since he's now chased away his best salesman Terry doesn't have the option of quitting. He instructs Terry to show up the next morning on time and properly dressed. Owen adds: "Grow up." Terry sheepishly leaves the office.
Joe sits inside the golf range, watching the game instead of practicing. He happily watches as he wins the $100 bet.
