[Damon grunts]
Jessica Cohen: What happened?
Damon Salvatore: I'm... lost.
Jessica Cohen: And you're lying in the middle of the road?
Damon Salvatore: Not that kind of lost.
[groaning, sits up]
Damon Salvatore: Metaphorically. Existentially.
Jessica Cohen: Do you need help?
Damon Salvatore: Well...
[pocket flask clanks]
Damon Salvatore: yes, I do. Can you help me?
[drinks from flask]
Jessica Cohen: You're drunk.
Damon Salvatore: No. Uh, well, yes, a little. Maybe.
[annoyed, she heads back to car]
Damon Salvatore: No, please don't leave. I really do need help.
[jumps up, blocks her way]
Damon Salvatore: Don't move.
[compelling gaze]
Jessica Cohen: I don't want any trouble.
Damon Salvatore: Neither do I. But that's all I got is trouble.
Jessica Cohen: Why can't I move?
Damon Salvatore: What's your name?
Jessica Cohen: [sobbing] Jessica.
Damon Salvatore: Jessica... I have a secret. I have a big one, but I've never said it out loud. I mean... what's the point? It's not gonna change anything. It's not gonna make me good.
