In the fall finale of 9-1-1, Eddie was at a crossroads and his future with the 118 was unclear. When the series returns this spring, Athena, Bobby and the 118 "speed" to the rescue to save a family whose pick-up truck has been rigged with a pipe bomb which will detonate if the vehicle slows under 55 miles an hour. Meanwhile, Eddie has a rough transition into his new job, Buck makes an impulsive relationship decision and the 118 welcome two new members to the team.—Fox

The 118 tries to ad just to having chimney still absent and Eddie deciding to transfer to the call Center. Bobby brings in a new paramedic whom Hen doesn't Welcome. And he needs to decide if he Will bring in new people. When a family is informed That a bomb was placed in their That Will explode if they slow down, they call 911 and the 118 and another unit is sent to handle it. When Eddie learns of it he chooses not to follow protocol which doesn't endear him to Josh. Back works with another membership of the unit and sees she 's like him. He finds her intriguing but chooses not to pursue anything because hes trying to figure out things with Taylor.
