Storyline
Two unlikely lovers- a man born into slavery and an emotionally-unhinged woman unable to nurture a pet- form the core of this beautiful allegorical nightmare. Of Bitches & Hounds carries the viewer through a dark and magical dreamscape populated by a black slave trader, an unattainable dog bone, an omniscient canine and an interstate trotting angel, to name just a few. Fevered imagery and even more fevered emotion converge to paint an awesome picture of the modern relationship-unbalanced, uninhibited and co-dependent.
